About Mick Reber (1942-2019)
Mick Reber is listed in Who's Who in American Art. His work has been seen in Art in America, Art & Auction, Southwest Art, Sculpture Methods, American Photographer, Art News, Art Week and Other Publications. He has exhibited extensively throughout the U.S. in galleries and museum shows. Reber has won numerous national and international level art awards including the Gold Metal Academia Italia, the Phoenix Biennial, the Colorado Biennial, inclusion in the Exhibiting Artists Federation Traveling Exhibition, and was one of 20 sculptors selected for the National Sculpture Traveling Exhibition which toured major U.S. museums. Reber was the subject of a 30 minute documentary for PBS Television, titled "Mick Reber, Wild William Bill." His work appeared in the 20th Century Fox film "When Legends Die." Mick's work was also contracted by Soho Press, New York, to appear on the cover of "Cons," a recent publication by Timothy Watts. His work is included in Art In America's Contemporary Sculpture Slide Survey. Reber's work is included in my prominent public and private collections throughout the U.S., such as the Annenberg Foundation for the Arts, The Hilton Corporation, The Reynolds' Foundation, and others. His work is also included in collections in Germany, Spain, France, England, Japan, Switzerland, and others. Mick Reber has also been of several one person shows, including The Brownsville Museum of Fine Art Texas, The Harlingen Museum of Art and History Texas, and the St. George Museum of Fine Art Utah. Mick Reber passed away on May 10, 2019.
